Overview

Terrace FC ("the App") is a free football prediction game developed by Tom Halls. This policy explains what data the App collects and how it is used.

Data we collect

Anonymous User ID

When you first open the App, an anonymous account is created automatically. This generates a random unique identifier (UUID) that is not linked to your real identity. It is used to associate your predictions, group memberships, and leaderboard entries.

Username

You choose a display name during onboarding. This is visible to other members of your groups on the leaderboard. It is not linked to any external account.

Predictions

Your match predictions (scores and optional first goalscorer picks) are stored on our servers to calculate points and display leaderboards within your groups.

Device token

If you grant notification permission, your device's push notification token is stored to deliver match result notifications. The token is deleted from our servers if Apple reports it as invalid.

Crash reports

The App uses Firebase Crashlytics to collect anonymous crash reports. These include device type, operating system version, and stack traces. No personally identifiable information is included.

Analytics

The App uses Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous usage data such as screen views and feature engagement. This data is aggregated and cannot be used to identify individual users.

Data we do not collect

• Email addresses
• Real names
• Location data
• Photos or media
• Contacts
• Financial information
• Advertising identifiers

Data storage

All server-side data is stored in Supabase (EU region). Local data is stored on your device using SwiftData with optional iCloud sync for your profile and predictions across your own devices.

Data sharing

We do not sell, share, or transfer your data to third parties. Anonymous crash and analytics data is processed by Firebase (Google) under their standard data processing terms.

Data retention

Your data is retained for the duration of the World Cup 2026 tournament and a reasonable period afterward. You can request deletion of your data by contacting tghalls@googlemail.com.

Children's privacy

The App does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. The App is rated 4+ and contains no user-generated content, in-app purchases, or gambling.

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available at this URL.
